Samsung Galaxy S23 series of the European version confirmed to switch to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Qualcomm previously hinted that Samsung’s next-generation flagship phone Galaxy S23 series will all use Snapdragon processors, and according to the latest runtime information, it seems to confirm this statement.

Today, the European version of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B) appeared in Geekbench 5 scores, with CPU information showing Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and a 3.36GHz high-frequency version, with a single-core score of 1504 and a multi-core score of 4580.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series, North America, South America, China, Africa and India versions are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, while the European version and some specific Asian market versions are equipped with Exynos 2200 processor.

With the switch to the Snapdragon chip in the European version of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it seems that the last “territory” of Exynos is gone. But this seems to be a good thing for European users, after all, the Samsung Galaxy S22’s Exynos 2200 processor has received a lot of bad reviews in terms of performance and experience.
