Last week, leaker Ice Universe (i Ice Universe) announced the exact dimensions of the Galaxy S23 series. They are roughly the same as the respective S22 models, with just a fraction of a millimeter added to the height and width. Now he has figured out where the extra 0.3mm on the Galaxy S23 comes from.
The answer is the extra bezel, which is claimed to be 0.15 mm on all four sides around the display (which will remain at 6.1 inches). This just goes to show that next year’s model will be 0.3 mm taller and wider than the current model.
The Galaxy S23+ is 0.4 mm taller and wider than its predecessor, which presumably means 0.2 mm more in bezels (again, the display will be the same size as now at 6.6 inches).
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is also larger than its predecessor (+0.1 mm in height and +0.2 mm in width), so it could face the same overall enlargement.
Is the extra 0.15mm on the S23’s four bezels really a big deal, Ice Universe thinks so, as gamers are “obsessed” with smaller bezels and are quite sensitive to these parameters. But newer models should always be better than older ones, and so far we haven’t heard of any changes to the display parameters (the S23 and S23+ are said to stick with FHD+ resolution and the Ultra with QHD+).
