Four years after the launch of the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy S10 series of phones, Samsung has decided to stop software update support for these devices. Samsung made the statement when it released details about the security patch for April 2023.

The Samsung Galaxy A50, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ are no longer listed on Samsung’s website about the software update schedule for Galaxy devices. For some reason, the Galaxy S10 5G phones, which also launched in February 2019 alongside other Galaxy S10 series devices, are still listed and will continue to get software updates. (Samsung S10 is equipped with Snapdragon 855 4G chip, S10 5G mobile is Snapdragon 855+X50 5G chip, A50 uses Exynos 9610 chip)

The Samsung Galaxy A50 launched with Android 9 and received two major Android OS updates: Android 10 and Android 11. The Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ debuted with Android 9, and the devices got three major Android OS updates: Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite phone with Android 10 in early 2020, and it got Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13. The machine recently pushed the One UI 5.1 update with more new features and will continue to receive security updates for at least a year.
