Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has been released in Brazil. The new machine is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 5000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel front camera.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is only available in Brazil in the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version, priced at 2,699 Brazilian reals (Note: approximately RMB 3,907), with light green and dark blue color options, Samsung expects The Galaxy M55 5G will be brought to more markets later this year.

The Galaxy M55 5G is the successor to the Galaxy M54 5G, and both share the same design language with curved bezels and a hole-punch screen. The upgrade is in the front camera, which has been upgraded from 32 million pixels on the Galaxy M54 5G to 50 million pixels. However, the main camera has been downgraded from 108 million pixels to 50 million pixels, supports OIS anti-shake, and is supplemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

In terms of core configuration, the Galaxy M55 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which replaces the previous generation Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 processor. It is worth mentioning that the battery capacity of the new phone has also been reduced from 6000mAh to 5000mAh, and supports 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED Plus display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits peak brightness.

In terms of system, the machine is pre-installed with the One UI 6.1 operating system based on Android 14. In other aspects, the Galaxy M55 5G also has dual speakers, NFC function, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C interface, IP67 dust and waterproof rating, and under-screen fingerprint scanner.
