Samsung Galaxy Books has been tasted, Microsoft Phone Link adds Recent Websites feature

Samsung announced that its Galaxy Books line of laptops will have a new “Recent Websites” feature after running a new version of Microsoft’s Phone Link app. Samsung said the move is to enhance the connection experience between PCs and mobile devices.

Samsung stated.

"Based on recent survey findings, 77% of users need to use multiple apps / devices to complete a task, but it takes a lot of extra effort during the task.

With this in mind, Samsung Electronics is always looking for new ways to deliver a connected experience that harmonizes the strengths and capabilities of its smartphones, PCs, tablets, watches and more to create a truly seamless multi-device ecosystem."

On Win10 / Win11 devices and Android devices (requires Android 7.0 Nougat and higher) that support the Microsoft Phone Link app, this “Recent Websites” feature provides access to the user’s web browsing history.

This is good news for Galaxy Book users, as it provides instant access to a list of websites recently opened on their smartphones. These sites can be accessed by launching the Microsoft Phone Link app directly on the PC or through its pop-up window.

Samsung adds.

"Recent Websites enhances connectivity to make Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book family of devices even more rich and adaptable. By unlocking the endless possibilities between devices, Samsung enables customers to use and combine their devices in more innovative and accessible ways."
