Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G phones were launched. These two mid-range phones have many similarities.

First of all, both phones use the same display – a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with 1080×2340 resolution and support for 120Hz refresh rate. It has the same 5000mAh battery, supports 25W fast charging, and adopts Samsung’s latest Key Island design language. The similar size makes it difficult to distinguish the two phones from each other when placed next to each other.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy A55 5G is equipped with an Exynos 1480 processor and an Xclipse 530 GPU based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture, with optional 8GB or 12GB of memory, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A55 5G has a 32MP front camera, and the rear camera module includes a 50MP main camera (f / 1.8 aperture, OIS anti-shake), 12MP ultra-wide-angle (f / 2.2 aperture) and 5MP macro (f / 2.4 aperture) camera. On the security front, Samsung has added Knox Vault secure processing unit to its A-series phones for the first time, a hardware-isolated execution environment that protects users’ most critical data, such as lock screen credentials and encryption keys. Additionally, Samsung’s Knox security platform will continue to be available, with the addition of an optional automated blocker that blocks suspicious app installations, scans for malware, and blocks malicious commands.

Samsung promises four years of major Android operating system updates and five years of security patch updates for both new phones. Although it takes two years less than the flagship model, it is still worthy of praise among mid-range models.
