Samsung Galaxy A54 phone revealed to have downgraded the main camera to 50 megapixels

Samsung has been working on a Galaxy A54 phone for some time now, even though the Galaxy A53 has only been available for 6 months. A new report claims that the Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature a lower pixel main camera than its predecessor.

GalaxyClub reports that the Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, while both the Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A53 phones have a 64-megapixel primary rear camera.

No other specs have been revealed about the Galaxy A54’s main camera. It is expected to feature the mid-range 50-megapixel camera sensor that has been used in recent mid-range Samsung smartphones.

However, considering that the Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A53 also come with many flagship features such as water resistance, high refresh rate screens and stereo speakers, it cannot be ruled out that the Galaxy A54 will also come with a flagship 50-megapixel camera.

In addition to the switch to a lower-pixel main camera, it was previously revealed that the Samsung Galaxy A54 and other mid-range Galaxy smartphones will ditch the depth-of-field camera. The phone will also come with Android 13 and One UI 5.
