Samsung recently announced the first Galaxy A smartphone in 2023, the Galaxy A14 5G. It will go on sale in Europe starting in April, and Samsung’s new plan shows that the Galaxy A14 5G is already available in the United States for $199 (about 1341 CNY).

The Samsung Galaxy A14 comes with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, and it’s only available in one color in the US: black. The U.S. market is missing Silver, Crimson, and Aqua, but color availability may change over time.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is pre-installed with Android 13 and One UI 5.0 systems, although the firmware is not as feature-rich as high-end phones. The phone also supports virtual memory expansion, so if the 4GB of memory is not enough, users can convert some storage space to virtual memory for better multitasking capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an Infinity-V display notch. Rear 50MP (f/1.8) main camera + 2MP (f/2.4) depth-of-field camera + 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera, front 13MP (f/2.0) selfie camera.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip (Exynos 1330 for the European version) and a 5000mAh battery. It is also equipped with side-mounted fingerprint recognition, and the official page claims that the phone will get One UI 6 (Android 14) and One UI 7 (Android 15) systems in the future.
