Samsung Exynos 1380 processor performance test: same level as Snapdragon 778G

0

Samsung launched the Exynos 1380 processor in February this year, and the recently released Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy M54 5G two phones are equipped with this processor. So how does the Exynos 1380 perform? The Dutch tech media Galaxy Club has a summary.

According to the report of the article the table as follows:

in conclusion:

The performance of the Exynos 1380 processor is similar to that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, and even better than the 778G in terms of graphics.

Note:

The Exynos 1380 uses a 5nm process and has four ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores at 2.4GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores at 2GHz, complemented by a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU at 950MHz, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate FHD+ display and supporting LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 DRAM chips and UFS 3.1 storage.

As a derivative of the Snapdragon 780G, the Snapdragon 778G’s biggest change is to abandon Samsung and go with TSMC’s 6nm process, which consumes 8% less power than its own 7nm process and is theoretically not too inferior to Samsung’s 5nm process, which is also used in MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 1100) and Dimensity 1200. Snapdragon 778G switch to TSMC process, either Samsung 5nm capacity is not enough, or Qualcomm think this process to do mid-range chip is not economic.
