Samsung previously launched the Camera Assistant app to bring more granular camera control to Galaxy smartphone users. The app is initially only available for the Galaxy S22 series. Now, Samsung has released an updated version of its Camera Assistant app that is compatible with more Galaxy smartphones.

The latest Camera Assistant app (version 1.1.00.4) is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. This app is only available for phones that have been upgraded to One UI 5.1. Users in some regions may need to wait for the One UI 5.1 update before installing the Camera Assistant app on compatible devices. Users can download the app from the Galaxy Store.

The Samsung Camera Assistant app has recently added more features, including the ability to set image sharpness/softness, image capture speed/quality balance, timer options, and quick-tap shutter customization. The updated app also has a screen dimming option to help keep the phone from heating up. The app also gets a Material You icon compatible with previous updates.

The Samsung Camera Assistant app will be compatible with more Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and more.
