SAIC sold 406,000 vehicles in June, of which 86,000 were EVs, sales up 13.1% YoY

SAIC Group’s vehicle sales in June exceeded 406,000 units, including 86,000 new energy vehicles, up 13.1% YoY; SAIC passenger cars (including overseas bases) sold 32,000 new energy vehicles, up 59.3% YoY.

In the first half of the year, SAIC sold 372,000 new energy vehicles, including more than 230,000 new energy vehicles in the second quarter, up 61.9% from the first quarter; SAIC sold 2.072 million vehicles, including more than 1.18 million vehicles in the second quarter, up 32.5% from the first quarter.

SAIC Group officials obtained, SAIC June’s overseas market sales of 95,000 units, the first half of the cumulative sales reached 533,000 units, an increase of 40%. The MG brand sold 115,000 units in Europe, up 143% year-on-year, with new energy accounting for more than 50%. At present, MG brand products and services have covered 28 countries in Europe, with more than 830 service outlets and the monthly delivery volume in Europe has exceeded 20,000 units for four consecutive months.

In 2023, SAIC will strive to build one “200,000-unit” market (Europe) and five “100,000-unit” markets (America, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, ASEAN and South Asia) overseas, with annual overseas sales expected to exceed 1.2 million units.
