SAIC: Cumulative sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 930,000 units in the first 11 months, up 45.8 % year-on-year

SAIC Group disclosed the November 2022 production and sales flash report, the first 11 months of this year, SAIC Group vehicle sales of about 4.766 million units. SAIC’s independent brand sales reached 2.466 million units, including 752,000 SAIC passenger cars, a record high; SAIC’s overseas market sales reached 883,000 units, up 46.4 percent year-on-year, with sales reaching 111,000 units in a single month in November.

In terms of new energy vehicle market performance, from January to November, SAIC sold 930,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for about 20% of overall sales, with sales increasing by 45.8% year-on-year, and in November, it set a record high of 130,000 vehicles sold in a single month.

Specifically, in the first 11 months, SAIC Datsun sold 30,000 new energy vehicles, up 68.6% year-on-year; SAIC Volkswagen sold 90,000 new energy vehicles, up 84% year-on-year; SAIC GM sold 44,000 new energy vehicles, up 110.4% year-on-year; SAIC GM Wuling sold 535,000 new energy vehicles, up 34.8% year-on-year.

On the evening of December 5, SAIC Group’s Jiji Auto announced that it will launch a new model, the Jiji L7 Elite rear-drive version, equipped with a 90kWh high-capacity battery and a CLTC range of 675km, priced from RMB 338,800; at the same time, Jiji’s second product, the LS7, is scheduled to be launched for pre-sale in the near future.
