Today, the microblogging topic “Mobile phone charging enters the era of single-digit” is on the hot search list.

It is reported that the Redmi Note 12 series was released on October 27th. This time Redmi launched the Note 12 Explorer Edition, which supports 210W wired flash charging, a fast charging technology that can charge up to 100% in just 9 minutes, allowing the phone charging time to enter the single-digit era.

Officially, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition uses a 3-charge IC architecture. The design of the charger 210W input will be shunted into 3 ways, each voltage and current are 20V 3.5A, then respectively through 3 charging ICs step down and step up to 10V 7A each, then 3 ways combined to 10V 21A, and finally through the dual cell voltage division, the two cells respectively withstand 5V 21A charging voltage and current.

The three charging ICs are dispersed to avoid heat concentration and maximize the duration of high-power charging, while the conversion efficiency is 98.6%, with a single peak power of 100W and a total power limit of 300W.

On the battery side, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition is equipped with a 10C high-rate dual-cell battery with 2*2150mAh capacity and an input current of up to 21000mA per cell. Cell Balance technology is also introduced between the dual cells. When a difference in voltage/capacity is detected between the two cells, an internal balancing circuit is turned on to equalize them.

The charger also uses advanced glue-filled heat equalization technology inside the charger to enable the charger to work at a stable high power for a longer period of time. The charging line is built with Xiaomi’s custom E-mark chip, which supports Xiaomi’s own 210W fast charging protocol recognition, and is also compatible with PD and QC protocols.

The cable itself has also been upgraded with new connector terminals that have higher conductivity and a double-wound shield for less interference and lower resistance.

In terms of core configuration, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition features a 6.67-inch OLED flexible straight screen, a MediaTek Skyguard 1080 chip, a 200-megapixel rear main camera, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 4300mAh battery.
