Xiaomi has recently confirmed that they are going to launch its budget-oriented Redmi A1 smartphone in India on September 6th, 2022. The launch teaser does reveal the device’s overall look and design. Now, the complete specifications along with the expected price have been tipped online by a known tipster.

Renowned tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) on Twitter has shared the list of specifications of the upcoming Redmi A1 smartphone. According to him, the device will feature a 6.5-inches TFT IPS LCD panel with HD+ pixel resolution. The device’s launch poster has already confirmed that it will have a waterdrop notch display. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek Helio A22 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. There could be other variants as well
Coming down to the cameras, it offers what you expect from an entry-level smartphone, a dual rear camera setup with an 8-megapixels primary lens and 2-megapixels secondary lens. On the front, we will have a 5-megapixel selfie snapper housed in the waterdrop notch cutout. It will pack a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast wired charging support. It will boot up on Android 12 Go Edition.
To ensure a seamless software experience for the device, it will not have any UI on top, instead, it will get the stock ROM of Android 12 Go Edition. The tipster has further said that the device will be priced below INR 10,000 (~$125) in India.
