The Realme 9i was introduced by the brand back in January this year. The device offers a pretty good set of specifications like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and a high refresh rate display. The brand is now gearing up the introduce the 5G variant of the device, which will land on the market as Realme 9i 5G. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset.
Realme 9i 5G Official Launch Date
The brand has confirmed via its official social media handles that they will host a launch event in India on August 18th, 11:30 A.M. IST, to debut the Realme 9i 5G smartphone. They have also shared a teaser image which reveals that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset. It has been getting promoted using “The 5G Rockstar” title and will offer a newly introduced Laser Light Design.
A MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset powers the Realme 9i 5G, it further has a triple rear camera setup. The phone will be offered in three storage variants: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB. Realme 9i 5G will be available in three colours: Black, Golden, and Blue. It’s unclear if Realme’s Madhav Sheth was referring to the Realme 9i 5G or another device when he had recently told that the company would release a 5G smartphone in India for INR 10,000 ($126) to INR15,000 ($190) price range.

Let’s wait till the official launch event to know more about the device. We strongly expect that the device will be priced around INR 15,000 or $200 for the base variant. In general, budget 5G smartphones are generally compromised on some selected factors and the same is expected with the Realme 9i 5G.
