Qualcomm held the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii today and officially announced that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will become the standard processor for the 2024 Android flagship.
According to reports, flagship Android devices powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are expected to be available in the next few weeks. The first batch of manufacturers will include:
Samsung, ASUS, Honor, iQOO, Meizu, NIO, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Redmi, Red Magic, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE.
The performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is 30% higher than the previous generation, and the energy efficiency is 20% higher. It also offers a 25% increase in GPU performance and a 20% increase in energy efficiency, while the Adreno 750 GPU GPU also supports hardware ray tracing and 240 FPS gaming.
