The Geekbench 6 Vulkan running score of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor was leaked recently, and the performance is very impressive. The chip scored 15,434 points, a roughly 50 percent improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s roughly 10,000 points.

This score is in line with previous rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s Adreno 750 GPU will offer a 50% performance improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s Adreno 740 GPU.

However, according to blogger @digitalchatstation, “The performance is based on performance, and the actual improvement is not that big. This generation is a regular iteration. TSMC N4P is making steady progress, but the GPU is still far ahead.”

The GPU of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is already faster than the A16 Bionic, and the GPU of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has another huge upgrade. It seems that Qualcomm will continue to maintain its lead in GPU over Apple.

As for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, its performance will also be improved due to its different architecture and higher clock speed. Its multi-core Geekbench score is said to have increased from around 3828 to around 7000 points, which is close to the A17 Pro. However, the single-core performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is still not as good as the A17 Pro. The leaked Galaxy S24 Plus running score shows only 2005 points, which is far lower than the 2958 points of the iPhone 15 Pro.
