Qualcomm CEO revealed that European consumers want Samsung Galaxy phones with Snapdragon chips

0

Qualcomm CEO and President Cristiano Amon recently publicly expressed his views on Samsung Galaxy consumers in Europe and believes that consumers want to choose chips from Qualcomm.

According to an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cristiano Amon said that European consumers want to adopt Samsung Galaxy devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon.

Part of An Meng’s interview is as follows: “This is spreading to other markets. For example, European customers say: ‘We finally have a Samsung phone with Snapdragon, and this is what we want’ – you see …Interestingly, that’s not the same way that’s happening with PCs. I think consumers see their phones as their inseparable device, their most important consumer electronics purchase decision, and they’re interested in the technology that makes their phones work. The second part of the answer to this question is to remember that in the history of computing — because you talked about two different models — in the history of computing, it’s a kind of modern history, you had PCs, you now have cell phones, and eventually they Will be glasses or something like that.”

As previously reported, Samsung Galaxy flagship phones have been using self-developed Exynos chips in Europe until the Galaxy S23 series when it was changed to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips, much later than the shift in other markets.
