With the increase in demand for intelligent networked vehicles and autonomous driving, the number of chips required in this field is also increasing sharply, and the automotive market will become a key growth area for chip manufacturers.

Qualcomm officially announced today that it will acquire Autotalks, an Israeli in-vehicle communication chip manufacturer, to strengthen the Snapdragon Digital Chassis product portfolio by accelerating the adoption timeline of V2X technology, hoping to deepen its automotive business, but did not elaborate on the financial status of the transaction.

Qualcomm said last year that its automotive business had grown to $30 billion, an increase of more than $10 billion since the end of July.
