According to Seres officials, Seres held a (Latin America) brand launch conference and a signing ceremony for 10,000-unit new energy vehicles in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
During the brand launch conference, Zhang Xingyan, President of Seres Automotive’s Overseas Business Unit, signed a contract with Brazilian customer representatives, marking the brand’s full entry into the Brazilian market, South America’s largest economy. At the same time, the SERES brand’s global strategic model SERES 5, positioned as a “high-end sports luxury electric SUV”, has fully entered the Brazilian market.

José Augusto Brandimarti, Chief Operating Officer of Seres Brand Brazil, said that this agreement demonstrates Seres confidence in the South American market and opens up broad prospects for the brand’s future development. Currently, Thalys’ new headquarters in Brazil has begun trial operation, and its showroom in Sao Paulo, Brazil has opened services and provides product test drives.
Judging from the official pictures, while SERES 5 was officially announced to enter the Brazilian market, SERES 7, which corresponds to the domestic M7, was also unveiled at the event. The appearance of the car is expected to be consistent with the domestic version, and it will have the AITO brand LOGO hanging on it.
It was previously reported that the September production and sales report data released by Thalys Group earlier this month showed that the brand achieved production of 17,270 vehicles that month, a year-on-year decrease of 41.11%, and sales of 17,952 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 37.93%.
The production and sales of new energy vehicles (including but not limited to AITO ) were 9,062 and 10,246 respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 51.68% and 41.77%. Among them, the production and sales of Seres cars were 6,101 and 7,125 units, a year-on-year decrease of 45.74% and 29.75%.
For comparison, Thalys’s new energy vehicle production and sales in August were 5,711 and 6,243 units respectively.
