Porsche announced its 2023 full-year financial report. Data show that Porsche achieved revenue of 40.5 billion euros in fiscal year 2023, a year-on-year increase of 7.7% and 37.6 billion euros last year; sales profit increased 7.6% year-on-year to 7.3 billion euros, and the net cash flow of the automotive business was 3.973 billion euros.

As for the sales performance, the financial report shows that Porsche delivered 320,221 new cars globally in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. Porsche’s Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors Obermu said that compared with the previous year, the performance of each sales region was more balanced. “2024 will be a big product year for Porsche, with more new cars than any year in our history. We will launch a variety of exciting sports cars that will delight customers around the world and position us well into the future. In the years since then, it has become even more powerful.”

At the same time, China became the only single market for Porsche to decline globally in 2023, with deliveries of 79,300 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 15%. The largest single market for Porsche, previously held by China for eight consecutive years, is now taken over by North America, which delivered 86,100 new cars throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 9%.

Porsche said it plans to launch a pure electric 718 sports car in the middle of this decade (2020-2030), followed by a pure electric Cayenne. Not only that, Porsche also plans to launch a pure electric SUV, whose “sporty” positioning will be higher than the Cayenne model. The new concept car is based on the SSP sports platform developed by Porsche and will be built in Leipzig.
