Popular Graphic design software Canva launches free AI tools to challenge giant Adobe

Canva has launched a series of AI graphics tools to try to rival Adobe’s Firefly, which aims to simplify the process of creating content in the workplace, making it easier and more efficient for non-design professionals to create content, allowing graphic designers to focus on key tasks, and challenging Adobe’s dominance in the market.

The new Brand Hub has been integrated into Canva’s Visual Worksuite, providing tools designed to help users align with their organization’s visual identity, according to the presentation. Users can create Brand Kits (Brand IP Kits) that include company culture information (logo, fonts, colours and unified oneness design).

In addition, Brand Templates enables designers to create reusable templates for repetitive tasks such as email, social media and other marketing campaigns; the Magic Replace tool replaces all elements of a design with a single click to update pre-generated logos or brand graphics; and the Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser) removes unwanted elements from images, and Magic Edit allows users to edit objects using generated AI.

Canva officials say other AI-driven features are being integrated and added to the Magic project suite under Canva Visual Worksuite. In addition, Canva’s new translation feature automatically translates text in projects into more than 100 languages.

These Magic AI tools from Canva are included in the free version, which is available to small businesses and individuals alike.
