Polestar recalls 1867 Polestar 4 vehicles

Recently, Polestar Auto Sales Co., Ltd. was entrusted to file a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products”. It has been decided to recall some 2023-2024 Polestar 4 models produced between November 29, 2023 and February 1, 2024, starting from now, a total of 1,867 vehicles.

Recall some 2023-2024 Polestar 4 models produced between November 29, 2023 and February 1, 2024, a total of 1,867 vehicles.

Reason for recall:

Some Polestar 4s within the scope of this recall may trigger brake control degradation due to brake controller software problems, resulting in the failure of functions such as electronic brake assist, weakened braking performance, and potential safety hazards. If the user encounters a vehicle instrument indicating a brake system failure, it is recommended to keep a safe distance from the vehicle and increase the brake pedal force when braking.

Solution:

Polestar Auto Sales Co., Ltd. will use vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology to upgrade software for Polestar 4 within the recall scope for free; for vehicles that cannot be upgraded through OTA technology, Polestar Auto Sales Co., Ltd. will proactively contact relevant users to provide Vehicles are upgraded free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Polestar Auto Sales Co., Ltd. will send a letter to relevant users regarding this recall by registered letter or other means. After the recall begins, Polestar Automotive User Support Center will proactively contact relevant car owners to arrange the recall. Users can call the Polestar user support hotline: 4006171017 via mobile phones and landlines for consultation. In addition, you can also log on to the websites www.samrdprc.org.cn and www.recall.org.cn and follow the WeChat public account (SAMRDPAC) to learn more information and report defect clues.
