POCO C50 listed on Indian BIS and Google Supported Device List

POCO is reportedly working on its upcoming POCO C50 smartphone. It will land in the market as the successor of the existing POCO C40 device. The smartphone has now been listed on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and Google-supported device lists. The certifications do throw some light on the information regarding the unreleased smartphone.

POCO C50 spotted on BIS certification!

The upcoming POCO smartphone with the mode number 220733SPI has been listed on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification of India. The alphabet “I” at the end of the model number confirms that it’s an Indian variant. Further, the device has the codename “snow.” The website also reveals some specifications of the device.

The website has confirmed that there will be at least one variant with 2GB of RAM. Further, it will have a display with 720*1600 pixels, which is basically HD+, resolution. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 and will boot up on the Android 12-based operating system right out of the box.

Anyway, the key specifications look very much similar compared with the Redmi A1 smartphone. This gives us a hint that it could be a rebranded version of Redmi A1. However, this is just a speculation and there are no official words on the device yet. Let’s wait a few more weeks to get some official information on the same.
