POCO just announced the launch of the POCO C40. The C40 is a budget-friendly smartphone from the company. The device has 4G connectivity and is about to launch on the global market on June 16th. The company already confirmed the device for Vietnam and due to that, the device specs have been confirmed.
POCO C40 specs and features
The POCO C40 is sporting a 6.71” LCD screen with an HD+ resolution (1560*720). The screen also features a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 400 nits. There’s a dewdrop notch at the front of the device, and an unknown version of Corning Gorilla Glass is protecting the screen.
When it comes to the chipset, POCO decided not to go with a Qualcomm or MediaTek SoC. Instead, the C40 comes with a JR10 SoC developed by JLQ. A JLQ chipset is powering a POCO phone for the first time.
C40 will be coming with Android 11 out of the box. But the company hasn’t disclosed the version of MIUI it will be using.
Coming to the camera, C40 will have a dual-camera module at the back. There will be a 13MP main-camera sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor. There’s also a 5MP camera at the front under the dewdrop notch for selfies and video calling.
C40 also has multiple connectivity options, including dual-SIM card slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and a USB Type-C port. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.
C40 packs a big 6,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. But the company is shipping the smartphone with a 10W charger.
POCO C40 price and availability
POCO C40 is all set for Vietnam. The device is priced at VND 3,490,000 ($150) and is all set to go on sale from June 17th.
The device will be available in three colors; Black, Yellow, and Green. At least in Vietnam, C40 is coming with a single configuration. 4GB memory and 64GB of internal storage.
