Google is set to launch the Pixel 7 series on October 6, and we’ve seen enough information about both upcoming devices over the past few months. Some of it was through leaks, some of it was through Google itself, and now the entire spec sheet for the upcoming phones has leaked online, and of course, no one will be surprised to learn that the Pixel is a lukewarm product.
Google News Telegram posted a supposed spec sheet for the Pixel 7 series over the weekend, and it came from a follower who found it on a Taiwanese carrier’s website. The spec sheet has some new and previously leaked details that show everything you need to know about the upcoming Android flagship and needless to say, the Pixel 7 series is a lot like the Pixel 6 series.
Both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro come with a Tensor G2 chip, will be sold in 128 or 256G storage capacities, have an IP68 protection rating, and both support face-unlock and fingerprint unlock. The camera configurations on the two phones differ but some sensors are the same: a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel selfie camera that can record 4K video.
The Pixel 7 Pro gets this designation because of the enhanced features of the non-Pro model: a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED screen (LTPO, 120Hz), 12G of RAM, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with its own 5x optical zoom and 30x “high resolution” zoom, with autofocus support for the wide-angle camera. Users will get a motion blur option for movies, as well as a macro focus mode.
The standard version offers a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 8G of RAM, and no telephoto lens, only a wide-angle lens with a fixed focal length.
Both phones are also said to come with wired and wireless fast charging, however, the new leak doesn’t state the charging speed at first, but when you look at the fine print in the image, you’ll see that the Pixel 7 supports 21W fast charging and the Pixel 7 Pro has 23W, which is arguably far behind compared to some other offerings on the market.
