Pine64 has launched a number of affordable laptops, smartphones and single-board computers with pre-installed Linux distributions in the past few years. Pine64 is now ready to enter the tablet market again, with plans to launch a PineTab2 tablet with Linux pre-installed.

PineTab2 will be a 10.1-inch tablet computer equipped with Rockchip RK3566 quad-core ARM Cortex-a55 processor, supports up to 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage space, and adopts a modular and repairable design.

Like most Pine64 hardware, the PineTab 2 has low specs and is primarily aimed at Linux developers and enthusiasts. At present, Pine64 has not announced the price information of this tablet, but said that it will send test tablets to developers in the next few months, and hopes to sell them after February next year.

The ports of the PineTab 2 tablet include:

1 x USB 3.0 Type-C

1 x USB 2.0 Type-C (can be used for charging)

1 x micro HDMI

1 x 3.5mm audio port

5 million rear + 2 million front

support microSD

Pine64 will sell at least two configurations: one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. All models will come standard with a removable keyboard case.
