Phytium X100 set completes Unisys UOS hardware compatibility certification

0

According to a release from Unisys Software, the X100 socket developed by domestic independent core chip provider Phytium has successfully completed its adaptation based on the UHQL (Unisys UOS Hardware Compatibility Certification System) specification, and Unisys UOS has become the first Chinese OS vendor in the industry to complete the adaptation of the socket’s mainline solution. At present, a number of models using the Phytium X100 solution have been introduced to the OEMs using the UOS V20 version.

Phytium X100 is a microprocessor chip with two main functions: graphic processing and interface expansion. In terms of graphics processing, it integrates GPU for graphics acceleration, VPU for video decoding, DisplayPort for display control and memory controller; in terms of interface expansion, it supports PCIe3.0, SATA3.0, USB3.1, SD / eMMC, Nandflash, I2S audio controller and other peripheral interfaces.

Compared to X86 and LoongArch platform chip-level display solutions, the ARM platform, which is dominated by Phytium, has been lacking native display support. With the completion of the mainline adaptation, the Phytium X100 kit successfully fills the ecological gap.

The Phytium X100 set is easy to integrate on the motherboard and has wide applicability in multiple terminal forms, including all-in-one PCs, notebooks, and MINI-PCs.

The UHQL program is a hardware compatibility certification system launched by Uniontech, known as Uniontech Hardware Quality Labs, which is a full process certification system for hardware compatibility and adaptation of boards, platforms and peripherals based on the UOS desktop/server operating system. Currently, 41 mainstream board manufacturers have joined the program.
