Audio manufacturer Bose is planning an update to its high-end noise-canceling headphones, the QuietComfort Earbuds. While the company has yet to officially announce the QuietComfort Earbuds II, a new leak reveals their updated design and highlights some key details.

The news comes from Roland Quandt of German tech outlet WinFuture.de, who has shared official renders of the QuietComfort Earbuds II in two colors.

As you can see in the accompanying images, the upcoming earbuds are basically the same shape as their predecessors, but the outlet notes that the new model is more compact. You’ll also notice some subtle design changes, but these are purely aesthetic changes that won’t affect usability or performance.

The outlet also notes that the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II offer up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge, but it’s unclear if this battery life specification has ANC turned on.

Based on the battery life ratings of previous models, we believe the QuietComfort Earbuds II will last up to 6 hours with ANC turned off, unless Bose offers a larger battery in the earbuds. Like the older models, QuietComfort Earbuds II will be available with capacitive touch and a charging case with USB Type-C port.

Quandt further revealed that the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II will retail for $299 in the U.S., which is $20 more than the previous model. At this time, we don’t have any more information about the upcoming earbuds. But Bose will likely release the earbuds in the coming weeks, and we’ll be sure to share more details as soon as they become available.
