Philips Hue home surveillance passed FCC-certified camera

The foreign technology media Hueblog published a blog post today, sharing information about the first batch of Philips Hue home surveillance cameras.

The blog post stated that Philips Hue launched the first batch of 4 home surveillance cameras, 2 of which have passed the certification of the FCC agency. The relevant certification documents disclose the pictures and technical details of these devices, but this does not fully represent the final retail products.

According to the warning stickers in the certification documents, these home surveillance cameras are designed with magnetic suction and can be fixed and installed by means of brackets. Certification documents show that both home security cameras support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBe connectivity.

The media report that Bluetooth will be used for device settings, Wi-Fi for video transmission, and ZigBee for Hue Bridge.

The media also exposed the prices of 4 home surveillance cameras:

  • Hue Camera Wired (black/white), priced at 199 euros (currently about RMB 1578)
  • Hue Camera Wired Desktop (black/white), priced at 229 euros (currently about RMB 1816)
  • Hue Camera Battery (black/white), priced at 249 euros (currently about RMB 1975)
  • Hue Flood Light Camera, priced at 349 euros (currently about RMB 2768)
