Orange Pi OS (OH) system to be launched, based on open source OpenHarmony

Shenzhen Xunlong Software Co., Ltd.’s open source product brand Orange Pi (Orange Pi) recently released Orange Pi OS, which has three versions.

According to the official news of Orange Pi, the Orange Pi OS (OH) system will be built based on the open source Hongmeng OpenHarmony, combined with a multi-terminal fusion operating system built with the accumulation of Linux technology, supporting multiple CPU architectures, and supporting multiple domestic platforms such as Phytium and Rockchip.

The OpenHarmony open source project is an open source project incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Foundation. OpenHarmony is an all-scenario, new-generation, open-source, open-source smart terminal operating system, with the main code contributed by Huawei and co-built by several companies.

Orange Pi OS (OH) can be installed on different forms of smart devices such as tablet computers, handheld terminals, smart large screens, wearable devices, cameras, payment terminals, self-service terminals, etc., logistics, education, security and other fields of application requirements.

The other two versions of Orange Pi OS are Arch and Droid. Orange Pi OS (Arch) is an Arch Linux-based distribution that enables cross-platform installation of Windows and Android applications through emulators Wine and Waydroid.

Orange Pi OS (Droid) is a distribution based on Android 12, which can install a large number of Android applications and provide quick switching between Windows and Mac style theme desktops. This version is currently available and is installed in the Orange Pi 800 keyboard computer.
