OPPO Reno 9 series rumoured to launch with a 4500mAh battery and a new colour option

Rumors on the OPPO Reno 9 series claim that devices in this series will make use of either Snapdragon or MediaTek processors.

Just in, the soon-to-launch OPPO Reno 9 series have already got a specification leak on the internet. This reveal as given by Digital Chat Station shows the battery capacity of the devices in this series as well as the presence of a new colour scheme. Also, we now know a bit about the processors that these devices will launch with, let’s take a look at the available details.

The coming Reno series will launch in the first quarter of 2023 as it will start OPPO’s bi-annual Reno launch. Before the end of the year, we will as well see the appearance of a new Reno series. But, information on the coming OPPO Reno 9 series shows that this device will be a midrange flagship device, just like its predecessor.

According to the recent reveal, the coming series will make use of the Snapdragon 7 and the MediaTek Dimensity 8 processor line-up. We can also expect three devices to launch in this series, just like we saw on the Reno 8 series. The highest version the Pro+ will use a Snapdragon processor, while the base Reno 9 will use the MediaTek processor.

For its battery capacity, our sources tell us that these devices will launch with, 4500mAh cells with support for fast charging. On the current Reno 8 series, we have 80W fast charge support on all three entries, for the coming model we will see something similar. The charging speed on the OPPO Reno 9 series will be the standard as set by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. This standard will also be in use on other flagship brands like Huawei, Vivo, and Xiaomi.

Also there will be a colour scheme on this series being the new “Everything Red.” More information on this device will be made available in the coming weeks. This series will also launch with the OPPO in-house Mariana MariSilicon X for some improvements in photography. It might feature some design changes, shifting away from what we see on the Reno 8 series.
