OPPO brought its latest exploration in the XR field – OPPO MR Glass Developer Edition – to the Augmented Reality World Expo (AWE) 2023 today.
OPPO believes that applications in the XR (extended reality) space will grow rapidly in the near future, and that MR (mixed reality) within the XR space is currently one of the highest achievable directions that meets user needs. As an official developer kit for Snapdragon Spaces, OPPO MR Glass will be the first to meet with Chinese developers.
Officially, OPPO MR Glass integrates leading-edge innovations to provide developers with the ideal tools to validate and develop rich XR content.OPPO MR Glass is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 + platform and features OPPO’s exclusive SUPERVOOC flash charging and heart rate detection, ensuring an efficient charging experience and giving MR Glass a wide range of features.
At the same time, the body and mask of OPPO MR Glass are made of skin-friendly materials, significantly enhancing comfort and making it less stuffy to wear for long periods of time. In terms of visual experience, OPPO MR Glass features Binocular Video Pass Through technology, dual front-facing RGB cameras, Pancake optical lens, and a 120Hz high refresh rate screen.
Since the release of OPPO’s first AR concept, OPPO AR Glass, in 2019, three smart glasses, OPPO AR Glass 2021, OPPO Air Glass and OPPO Air Glass 2, have been launched. In addition, OPPO’s XR exploration also includes CybeReal, a full time spatial computing AR application, and more.
