After Malaysia, OPPO launched a new OPPO A78 5G in the Indian market, which is positioned in the mid-range, starting at 18,999 rupees (currently about 1569 RMB).
This model is basically equivalent to the domestic OPPO A58 5G renamed, but increased the NFC function.
The OPPO A78 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chip and offers 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage with microSD card expansion. In addition, the OPPO A78 5G has a built-in 5000mAh battery, supports 33W fast charging and comes with ColorOS 13 pre-installed based on Android 13.
This model features a 6.56-inch LCD waterdrop screen with 720p+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and an 8MP front-facing camera.
The OPPO A78 5G rear camera features a dual-ring design with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The OPPO A78 5G is available in two colorways — purple and black — and is currently available in two markets, Malaysia and India, where it costs 1099 ringgit, or about RMB 1708.
