So far, all models including OnePlus Ace, OnePlus Ace Pro, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9RT 5G, OnePlus 9R 5G, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T have been upgraded. If you have a model that you haven’t used for a long time, you can take it out to charge it and give it an upgrade.
Users can view the version number through “Settings – About This Machine – Version Information – Version Number”, click “Settings – About This Machine – Top Version Information (above “Phone Name”) – Settings in the upper right corner – Early adopters application – ColorOS 13 official version – Check ‘I have read and agree to the “Privacy Policy” – Apply Now”, click “Check for Updates” after completing the application, detect and download the installation version to upgrade to ColorOS 13.0.
OPPO stated that this upgrade will not clear user data, but it is recommended to back up important personal data in advance before upgrading. There are currently some third-party applications that are not compatible with Android 13. After upgrading to Android 13, third-party applications may not work normally (such as flashbacks, freezes, black screens, power consumption, etc.).
In addition, within two days after the upgrade, a series of adaptation and optimization actions will be carried out in the background of the system, which may cause the phone to heat up, freeze, and consume fast power. OPPO recommends that users restart the phone after charging for 2 hours after the screen is off, or it will recover by itself after a period of normal use.
