Recently, SAIC-GM Chevrolet officially released the official photo of the Equinox Plus model. This car is actually the new-generation Equinox model that was just released overseas in January this year. Equinox Plus will be available in two interior and exterior design styles, RS and ACTIV, interpreting the fashionable new classics of American SUVs. In terms of power, the Equinox Plus is the first to apply SAIC General Motors’ new generation PHEV smart electric plug-in hybrid technology. Taking the overseas version as an example, you can quickly understand the characteristics of the vehicle. In terms of appearance, the Explorer Plus adopts the latest family-style design language, and the front face shape is more square and tough. Compared with the current appearance, which is quite dated, the new car is more in line with the current aesthetic trend. Both models are equipped with split headlights and honeycomb-shaped air intake grilles, which are embellished with letter logos. On the side of the body, the body of the Explorer Plus looks like a smaller version of the Traverse model. The overall side lines are relatively similar, and the C-pillar and suspended model are still very recognizable. In addition, the two models will be equipped with different styles of rims and tires. The Activ version focuses more on off-road orientation, while the RS version focuses more on daily highway driving. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the overseas version are 4653/1902/1667mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2730mm. Compared with the current US version, it is 51mm wider.

For the interior, the Equinox Plus is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, an 11-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.3-inch central control screen, making the interior more technological. This time Chevrolet has also upgraded its driving assistance and safety features. The new car’s safety assistance package includes enhanced lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with collision alert, adaptive cruise, blind spot alert, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane change alert and more. In terms of space, the trunk volume is 845L, which expands to 1799L after folding down the rear seats.

In terms of power, the new overseas version of the car will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which can output a maximum power of 177 horsepower and a maximum torque of 275 Nm.
