Recently, Toyota officially released official photos of two special edition models, GR YARiS Sebastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanpera Special Editions. The new car is named after the two WRC drivers Rovanpera and Ogier, and launches two exclusive driving modes based on the driving preferences of the two drivers. It is reported that the car will be limited to 200 units and will be qualified for purchase through a lottery. At the same time, car buyers will also receive benefits related to interaction with drivers and WRC events.

In terms of appearance, both models have added different styles of appearance kits and racing liveries based on the GR YARiS. The Ogier version is painted in overall gray, with a blackened front face and three colors of the French flag under the hood. The Rovanpera version of the car is painted in the same color as the driver’s racing suit, making the colors richer and brighter.

On the side of the body, the two models are not much different from the regular version of GR YARiS, with added details. The special edition identities of Toyota’s “GR” division and WRC are displayed on the vehicle’s door panels and front fenders respectively. In terms of wheels, both cars use 18-inch BBS multi-spoke wheel styles, and the brake calipers are blue and red respectively to echo the body.

At the rear of the car, in addition to differences in body painting and rear nameplate logos, the two models also have different shapes of rear spoilers that are uniquely identifiable. The Rovanpera version uses a gooseneck shape with stronger racing attributes, while the Ogier version uses a carbon fiber spoiler with a simpler shape.

As for the interior, the overall shape and layout are consistent with the regular model. In details, GR YARiS has set different driving modes for the two models, so users can experience the driving preferences of the two racing drivers. The central control screen is tilted towards the driver’s side, demonstrating a driving-centric concept. The start button and double-flash button are arranged on the left side of the screen, and there is a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument in front of the steering wheel.

In terms of power, it is still unclear whether the special edition model will be upgraded in power. Referring to the regular model, the GR YARiS is equipped with a 1.6T three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 304 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. In terms of the transmission system, the car uses an 8-speed automatic transmission.
