Nvidia is preparing to mass-produce two new AD104 GPUs, possibly Geforce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti. According to sources, Nvidia is planning to mass produce two new RTX 40 series graphics cards, but they will be based on the AD104 chip, which is the chip used in Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

The chip used by Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti is AD104-400-A1, and the chips used by Nvidia’s two graphics cards to be mass-produced are AD104-250 and AD104-251, so it is a castrated version of AD104. Judging from the figures of “250” and “251”, the configuration of the two graphics cards should be very similar.

As for the board, the AD104-250 GPU will use the PG141 SKU 343 PCB, while the AD104-251 GPU will use the PG141 SKU 345 PCB. The Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti is also based on the PG141 (SKU 331) PCB, so AIB partners don’t have to put a lot of engineering effort into the new chip.

Also, both GPUs are said to feature a 200W TGP, but that’s sure to change. Now coming to the production plan, the AD104-250 GPU SKU will be the first to go into production in the second half of February, followed by the AD104-251 SKU in mass production in the second half of March. There’s no mention of a launch date for either graphics card, but it’s likely to be in the second half of 2023, around Computex 2023.
