Nvidia may have abandoned the MX series of thin and light notebook’s solo display

0

Nvidia released the MX570 and MX550 notebook GPUs at the end of 2021, mainly for thin and light notebooks, offering higher graphics performance than core graphics. Now, a new generation of thin and light notebooks has been released at CES 2023, but Nvidia has not released a new generation of MX series notebook GPUs, which could mean that Nvidia has abandoned this product line.

Familiar with notebook hardware friends know that AMD continues to make efforts in the notebook processor core display, R7 6800H Radeon 680M core display has exceeded Nvidia’s MX 450 single display, and the latest Radeon 780M core display performance has not been unblocked, is expected to be able to exceed the MX 570 models.

In addition, on Intel’s side, Intel already has its own lineup of unique graphics, and many Core thin and light notebooks already use Intel’s Razzle A350M and A370M unique graphics.

In summary, Nvidia’s MX series of thin and light notebooks has completed its historical mission, and the MX 500 series is likely to be the last generation.

Nvidia’s latest RTX 4050 graphics can be configured for a power consumption range of 35-115W, it is expected that many of the main high-performance thin and light notebooks will use a low-power version of the RTX 4050 graphics, so as to achieve higher graphics performance than the nuclear display.
