NVIDIA recently announced the first 8K resolution gaming benchmarks for its upcoming next-generation flagship graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. NVIDIA claims that the GPU was able to achieve 60fps or more in a number of games at 8K resolution using DLSS3.

Specifically, NVIDIA says that the RTX4090 can run Fortnite (Light Chase) at an average of 82FPS at 8K resolution with DLSS 3 turned on. Also as mentioned in the previous news article, it is highly likely that Ultimate Racing: Horizon 5 will add support for DLSS, which is shown to reach 94FPS at 8K frame rates.

Of course here NVIDIA specifically emphasizes that DLSS is set to its highest performance mode and DLSS frame generation is enabled.

Microsoft Flight Simulator also performs very well with DLSS 3, reaching 83FPS. Drakengard 2 also manages to reach 85FPS.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 can also run some games at 60FPS+ in native 8K. NVIDIA claims that this GPU can run Apex Heroes, Lost Ark and Manhunt: Showdown smoothly in native 8K. According to the chart, War Thunder can run at 100FPS in native 8K.

According to NVIDIA’s official chart, Extreme Racing: Forza Horizon 5 may soon support its DLSS technology. Also since this chart is for the upcoming RTX 4090, it’s likely that Forza Horizon 5 will get support for the latest version of DLSS, namely DLSS 3.

NVIDIA says that running Forza Horizon 5 (and other AAA games) with an RTX 4090, with DLSS Super Performance mode and DLSS frame generation enabled, can reach 8K/60FPS.

In June, Playground Games released a patch that added support for TAA. It can be seen that adding support for DLSS (and FSR2.1) should be relatively easy.
