Nothing Phone (1) gets the Nothing OS 2.0 system update

The first generation of Nothing Phone (1) phone is now updated Nothing OS 2.0 system, has been pushed for some users, is expected to be followed by a wide range of upgrades.

The update is only 0.97GB in size and brings a number of detailed improvements, the Nothing widget design has been updated, the Nothing launcher now has a refined grid layout, allows users to hide icon labels, and there are more customizable options for folders.

The Glyph Interface backlighting has been updated to version 2.0 with two new features. First, basic notifications allow selected contacts and apps to leave persistent notifications. Second, the Glyph Torch can be used as a flashlight by simply long-pressing the Torch switch in the notification bar.

Nothing OS 2.0 also brings useful app features. Cloning allows users to open multiple apps; App Locker lets users hide sensitive apps that require biometric authentication to view.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can go to Settings – System – System Updates to manually check for it, or you can wait for a while for the official update to be pushed out. The update is available in the form of a new update to the phone.
