According to the latest tweet shared by source @URedditor, the rear cameras of Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will be vertically aligned similar to the iPhone 12, instead of a diagonal design.

Apple switched to a diagonal rear camera module in iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, which was then carried over to iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, and is expected to continue with a diagonal layout for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus when they launch later this year.

Apple said, “The redesigned rear camera layout, with diagonally aligned lenses, enables an advanced dual-camera system.”

And sources say that Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus coming next year will revert to the vertical layout seen on the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini.
