Nio released the ES6 pure electric SUV in May this year. A 150kWh battery pack (930 kilometers) will be launched in July.

NIO has recently updated the user manual for the ES6 vehicle, disclosing more information about the 150 kWh battery pack. The 150kWh battery pack weighs 575kg, which is 3.6% heavier than the 100kWh battery (555kg).

The pack contains 384 cells, up from the 96 cells in the 100kWh pack offered by CATL, and the cells have an energy density of 360 Wh/kg.

It is found that the rated voltage of the battery is 3.31 V and the rated capacity is 110 Ah.

Like CATL’s other battery packs, the 150kWh pack measures 2062mm in length, 1539mm in width and 185.6mm in height.

NIO unveiled a 150 kWh semi-solid-state battery when it launched its flagship sedan NIO ET7 at the NIO Day 2020 event on January 9, 2021, which it claims will give the car a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.

He said at the time that the new Nio ES6 SUV, which typically has higher energy consumption than sedans due to greater wind resistance, can travel 930 kilometers when equipped with a 150-kilowatt-hour battery pack.
