NIO Day 2022 will be held on December 24 at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. Li Bin previously stated that he would launch new products of the year on NIO Day 2022.

Wei Lai said that NIO Day is its annual gathering to share the joy with users, and it is also a stage for it to release new products of the year. Spies have now released spy photos of a new pure electric SUV road test suspected to be named Nio EC7. The appearance of the new car is similar to the Tesla Model Y, but the exterior details still have a typical Nio style.

It can be seen from the spy photos that the front of the new car is similar to the front face of Nio EC6. It is still designed as a family “watchtower”. It uses split headlights, the upper part is horizontal daytime running lights, and the lower part is a vertical headlight group.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts a coupe-style slip-back shape, and the wheel eyebrows adopt a round shape. Compared with the EC6, the new car has become more streamlined, and the lines have canceled the elements of right-angled edges. The rear adopts a new through-type taillight design, similar to the design of NIO ET7. There is also a beautiful spoiler at the rear, and a pure electric vehicle badge is attached to the rear of the car.

IT Home learned that the Nio ES7 has a lidar in the center and 8-megapixel cameras on both sides. It is expected that the EC7 will also adopt this configuration.

At the rear of the car, the new car is expected to adopt a through-type taillight design and a slip-back shape. The Nio EC7 is expected to be larger than the EC6. Referring to the Nio EC6, its length, width and height are 4850/1965/1731mm, and the wheelbase is 2900mm.

In other respects, it is expected that the EC7 will be equipped with PanoCinema, a panoramic digital cockpit using AR/VR technology in the future, but unfortunately, there is no more configuration information at present.
