Nintendo Switch Emulator Yuzu comes to Android platform

0

The Yuzu development team recently announced that their Nintendo Switch emulator has officially supported the Android platform.

Yuzu, one of the most popular Switch emulators on PC right now, allowing users to play their favorite Switch games on more powerful hardware, is finally coming to Android. However, this is an early release and is not guaranteed to work on all devices.

Previously, the best Switch emulator on Android was probably the Skyline emulator, capable of running many indie and popular titles, and considered one of the best emulators on Android. However, due to Nintendo’s recent increased crackdown, the development team of the Skyline emulator has stopped development work.

To try the Yuzu emulator, you need a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or newer processor (preferably Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) and at least 8GB of RAM. Apart from Exynos 2200, other MediaTek and Samsung Exynos processors are not expected to be supported.

As for performance, the Yuzu development team shared their game test data. Judging from the results, many games can be run directly, such as “Super Mario 3D World + Fury World” can run perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy S23. To use the Yuzu emulator, you need to export the game and decryption key from your own Switch.

It is noticed that Yuzu has two versions: the regular version and the early access version, the latter requires a one-time payment to get test updates for new features.
