Recently, Ningde Times announced that after more than a year of research and development, Ningde Times’ first MTB technology has landed on the NEDO power exchange heavy truck model, which will be first applied to the NEDO Qiyuan core power exchange project. Ningde Times said that MTB technology integrates the module directly into the vehicle bracket/chassis, increasing the system volume utilization by 40%, and the original u-shaped water cooling system overcomes the heat dissipation problem, providing a better solution to speed up the electrification of power exchange heavy trucks and construction machinery.

Specifically, MTB technology is 40% more efficient in volume utilization and 10% lighter in weight than the traditional battery pack+frame/chassis assembly method, increasing the vehicle cargo space and improving cargo weight.

At the same time, the battery system life is more than 2 times higher than similar products, with a cycle life of 10,000 times/10 years, and a system energy density of 305Wh/L and 170Wh/kg, offering 140kWh-600kWh power configurations.

The technology adopts low frame design, the whole vehicle’s center of gravity can be reduced by 21%, and module + system bipolar sealing, with IP69K protection level, can be used in the -35°C-65°C temperature range.

According to Ningde Times, the new generation MTB technology can also be applied to bottom-mounted rechargeable heavy trucks and construction machinery. At present, for every 10 heavy trucks or construction machinery, 9 of them are equipped with Ningde Times power batteries.
