With the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, smartphone manufacturers will begin the rollout of their next-generation flagship devices, like the Motorola Moto X40. Already, this flagship device from the Lenovo-owned Motorola brand will become available in a few months. Already the device is in the pipeline and with the release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in a few weeks, the official launch of the Moto X40 will follow through.

One of Lenovo’s executives took to his Weibo account to seek netizens’ opinions on the coming flagship device. Also, leaks of this device have made their way to the internet, pointing to what might be the specifications of Motorola’s next flagship device. The leaks in question tell of the camera, display, and memory capacity of the next-generation top-tier Motorola smartphone.

For its screen, Weibo blogger Digital Chat Station says that the coming device will launch with an FHD+ display. The blogger goes on to say that the device will house a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera sensor. On its front, we can as well expect to see a 60MP selfie camera sensor for taking vivid images.

Storage on the Motorola Moto X40 will reach up to 12GB worth of RAM, hence stretching its storage to 256GB of ROM. Possibly, this device will launch before the end of this year and will be among the first devices to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will also get a predecessor, the Moto X40 Pro that will launch using the coming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC just like we have with the Moto X30 series.
