After Motorola released Moto Razr 40 series foldable phone on June 1, North America operations director Allison Yi interviewed by foreign technology media CNET, said more and more iPhone owners switch to use Android foldable phone.

Bloomberg published a commentary last month, along with the launch of Google’s Pixel Fold, Apple is the only one left among mainstream cell phone manufacturers that has not launched a foldable phone.

Consumers have not waited for a long time for Apple to launch a foldable iPhone and have started to switch to buying and using Android foldable phones. Motorola said its foldable phone user group, 20% of the owners previously used iPhone.

CNET noted in its report that the data is based on Motorola’s figures announced in 2021, and predicts that the switch ratio will be higher now.

Part of Allison Yi’s interview as follows: “Motorola has the highest percentage of iPhone owners switching to Android foldable phones”.

Market research firm IDC estimates that global shipments of foldable devices will grow by more than 50 percent in 2023 compared to 2022.
