A few months ago, well-known tipster @OnLeaks shared high-resolution renders of the Motorola Moto Edge (2022), codenamed “Dubai+”, the successor to the Edge and Edge (2021). Now the tipster has shared official renders of the device again, but it’s still unclear what the release date will be.

The phone is said to be equipped with a smaller 6.5-inch P-OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, and will have a 32-million selfie camera on the front. The three cameras on the back will feature a 50 million main module with OIS, as well as a 13 million ultra-wide angle and a 2 million depth sensor, as seen in the renders. The telephoto module of the initial Edge or the 108 megapixels of the Edge (2021) have been removed.

The word is that the 2022 Edge will be powered by a MediaTek MT6879 instead of the previous generation’s Snapdragon chipset. The chip has an octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A78 + 6x A55) and Mali-G79 GPU, with storage combinations of 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB and a large 6000mAh battery, but it’s not clear what the fast charging configuration will be.
