From BYD learned that 304 BYD electric heavy truck Q1R has been shipped to four ports of India Adani Group, is expected to arrive in February, and will be operated as a port tractor.

BYD said that the Q1R has been shipped in batches to the four ports of Adani Group according to the plan. So far, five Q1Rs have arrived at Katupalli port and started operation. The Adani Group will continue to place orders with BYD and put all 400 electric tractors into operation by 2023. This is also the first large-scale purchase of electric heavy trucks for port operations in India.

According to the introduction, BYD has formed a complete industrial chain in the field of commercial vehicles with product planning, R&D, manufacturing, sales and service, including pure electric buses, pure electric buses, pure electric trucks and other product lines, covering many countries such as Netherlands, UK, France, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Japan and Korea.

BYD also announced its official entry into the Indian passenger car market last October with the release of the first high-end pure electric SUV Yuan PLUS (local name ATTO 3.) The ATTO 3 is the first model to be equipped with e-platform 3.0 in the Indian market, and BYD plans to sell 15,000 units of ATTO 3 in India by 2023.
